Meet the best French pole-vaulters, of which Jean Galfione and Romain Mesnil, in this festive and musical competition.
On Wednesday, the 27th of January 2010, Tignes welcomed its first pole-vaulting meeting, "Perche Altitude". Lead by Jean Galfione, the best French pole-vaulters will compete in Tignespace for one of the qualifying stops of the France, Europe and World indoor pole-vaulting Championship.

ZOOM on… qualifications
The qualification season started at the beginning of January and will end mid-February 2010 with the France Championship.
Athletes are rated by official national judges and with a performance system. Men have to jump at least 5,40 metres high and women at least 4, 20 metres high to make sure they can compete for France, Europe and World indoor pole-vaulting Championship qualifications.
